Gerosion provides consultation, material testing and specialized R&D work for entities in the geothermal, energy intensive and petroleum industry. We specialize in material selection, testing and consultation regarding materials problems such as corrosion and scaling, specifically in geothermal industry. This includes failure analysis and guidance in material selection for harsh and corrosive environments. Moreover, Gerosion provides all kind of material science testing for various industries, including energy intensive industry and stonewool-, cement- and steel production companies.

Gerosion offers testing services, specifically for cementitous materials and steel. Examples of equipment and tests that are available are tensile testing machine, in-situ geothermal environment testing, Secondary Electron Microscope and X-ray Energy Spectroscopy Equipment for microstructural and chemical composition analysis. Other equipment are e.g. mechanical testing machine for tensile, compressive and flexural testing, grinding equipment and particle distribution analyser.

Our Mission

Provide customised solutions for each customer, both on-site and simulated testing. We will be able to do that with the unique AutoClave pressure vessel that we are in the process of buying and putting together. The equipment will enable us to simulate the condition of supercritical wells and pre-test all materials. Our team of experts in material testing is committed to deliver unique solutions and increase the lifetime of wells in the long run.
