Gerosion receives two research grants from The Energy Research Fund of Landsvirkjun 2017

The 15th of February 2017, Gerosion received two research grants from The Energy Research Fund of Landsvirkjun 2017 (Orkurannsóknarsjóður Landsvirkjunar 2017), for ongoing projects within the company. 

Dr. Sigrún Nanna Karldóttir and Sunna Ólafsdóttir Wallevik received the grants on behalf of Gerosion and the University of Iceland at the tenth allocation of grants from the Landsvirkjun Energy Research Fund. The allocation was celebrated with an official ceremony which took place in the Ceremonial Auditorium of Landsvirkjun headquarters on the 15th of February. Sunna Ó. Wallevik received a 3 M ISK research grant on behalf of Gerosion for the third year of the project: Value Creation in Icelandic Geothermal Processes: Extraction of minerals and metals, which is carried out in collaboration with the Engineering department of University of Iceland, GEORG and the Icelandic energy companies. Dr. Sigrún Nanna Karlsdóttir received a 3,2M ISK research grant for the project: Material Testing and Examination of High Temperature and Pressure Deep Geothermal Well Materials on the behalf of Gerosion and the University of Iceland, as the project is a cooperation between these two entities.
