Gerosion receives Horizon 2020 SME Instrument - Phase 1 grant for the AlSiment project

Gerosion has been developing environmentally friendly cement-free binder solutions both for the construction and the energy intensive industries. One of Gerosion’s projects in this field is named AlSiment: Transforming hazardous waste of the metallurgical industry into a valuable raw material. That project is a collaboration between Gerosion, the Icelandic aluminium smelters and a ferrosilicon producer.

Gerosion has very recently signed the contract with the European Commission for the Horizon 2020 SME Instrument Phase 1 grant for the AlSiment project and is excited for the times ahead.

The phase 1 grant amounts to €50,000 and is intended for exploring and assessing the technical feasibility and commercial potential of breakthrough innovation that small and medium-sized companies wants to exploit and commercialize.
