The fourth International Iceland Geothermal Conference - IGC2018 was held at the Harpa Conference Centre in Reykjavík, between the 24th and 26th of April 2018. Over 600 delegates from more than 40 countries attended the conference this time around and shared their knowledge. Representatives from Gerosion were present at a special booth at the conference and presented their work regarding corrosion testing and material selection in the geothermal and energy intensive industry. Representatives were also there to keep an eye on the latest developments in the industry, promote the services that Gerosion has to offer and to establish new international relationships. The conference among other things, highlighted opportunities for geothermal energy utilisation beyond power generation and how barriers for development can be broken.
