The Geo-Smart project is part of the low carbon energy call to develop next generation technologies for renewable electricity and heating/cooling. GeoSmart consortium comprises of 19 partners across Europe is aiming to optimise and demonstrate innovations to improve the flexibility and efficiency of geothermal heat and power systems. Next, combine thermal energy storages with flexible Organic Rankine cycle solutions to provide a highly flexible operational capability of a geothermal installation. Project is funded by European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (GA: 818576).
